Orlando Magic player Mac McClung made his presence felt as he set out to win his third straight NBA Slam Dunk Championship for 2025 NBA All-Star Weekend 2025. He successfully secured his place in NBA history Saturday night after becoming the first player to win the NBA Slam Dunk contest three times in a row.
The reigning G-League MVP set the tone by jumping over a car in the first round.

For his historic first dunk, Mac McClung jumped in the air and took the ball out of the hands of a person standing out of the sunroof of a Kia K5. McClung leaped over the car and slammed the ball through the net with a reverse dunk behind his head before landing on the other side.
Many people have been saying that this dunk could be a tribute to Blake Griffin. In 2011, Griffin received a lob pass from a teammate who was standing out of the sunroof of a Kia to do a similar dunk years ago.
